Important Things To Know Before Gambling Online

It's unfortunate how many people will jump right into online gambling without any cares in the world. Sometimes I feel that these people will deserve the loss they get. I know that sounds a bit cold, but it's very true. There are plenty of resources where people can become educated on the world of online gambling. I understand the whole entertainment attraction, since that is what gambling is all about.

The downfall is when people become desperate and begin to lose all their hard earned money in a matter of minutes, sometimes even seconds. Since I am human, I do have feelings and care a bit for those who are down and out. I'll begin by telling you this. If you are down and out, depressed, and are really desperate to earn some cash, DON'T GAMBLE. If you are able to draw a fine line and separate the entertainment side of gambling with the addiction side of gambling, you'll be able to fair much better in the end.

There are many important things one should know before spending even 5 seconds on an online gambling website. Online casinos are a different world than the casinos you may have visited in person. Although the concept is similar, there are different gaming rules and regulations that come into play.

Read carefully. I'll be brutally honest here. If you have a problem with comprehension, and have a hard time understand the online casino rules of each individual casino, then you may want to have someone help you understand what all the rules mean. You want to read all the payout percentages, the game odds, etc. You'll want to become familiar with everything that is put out in front of you.

Reading the reports that each online casino puts out is extremely important. You'll want to analyze the reports for previous months the casino has operated. Be sure to take a good look at the terms and conditions of the website you are visiting. I know, the terms and conditions that are written up are usually difficult to understand, but you'll want to at least make an effort to read what's there.

Not every casino is the same when it comes to these rules. Even though there are plenty of casinos willing to give you all sorts of freebies and cash bonuses, you'll want to see when you can withdraw this money. There are many online casinos that will hold that bonus until you play a certain amount of your own cash before you can withdraw. This is not uncommon, it's simply a matter of business. If you are at a site that has games you have no idea how to play, move on to somewhere else. It's not like there aren't other sites to play at. There is no point in accepting at a site that has games you aren't comfortable playing.

Understand all the processes. If you have the ultimate goal of winning tons of money, then you must may want to think about doing something that involves a bit less risk. Understand how much money of your own you must play to make a profit from the bonuses being offered. If there is an unreasonable amount listed in the terms and conditions of the casino, move on to somewhere else. I can't stress the importance of this enough.

And remember, START WITH A BUDGET! You must have a budget and a set amount of money in mind when you are participating in these online games. Keep a constant watch on your money. Be fully aware of what you are starting with, what you are winning, and what you are losing. If you don't do these simple things, you might as well put a blindfold over your eyes and walk into a casino and begin playing all the table games you know nothing about. It's essentially the same thing.

Of course I can't end by saying you must play with common sense. There is a lot of money to win, a lot of money to lose, but you'll increase your risk if you don't have a strong degree of common sense. Online gambling can be a lot of fun, if you play legally, play safely, and think with a clear mind.

Online Gambling Causing Credit Card Debt

It is the latest craze at the moment and everyone seems to be enjoying gambling at home with the increase of poker sites on the internet, but its not good news if you are running up debts on your credit card. I don't know about you but it seems that I have a misconceived perception of time when I am sitting at my computer; time just seems to fly by. The longer you are gambling on an internet poker site, the more money you are spending.

Online gambling is being seen as pushing up consumer debts and that's not good for the UK economy. Figures from the government have revealed that the amount of money spent on gambling last year was £42.8 million; in 2001 that figure was only £8.6 million. It is a perturbing sharp increase. Internet sites that have been registered outside the UK have not been included in the government figures of money spent.

The glamorization of gambling, especially poker, by celebrities at the moment is partly to blame for the rise in gambling. Sitting at home on your computer can undermine your ability to spend your money wisely. Internet poker sites or casino sites allow you to insert your credit card details; once your details have been entered you can continue gambling up to your credit limit. Some gamblers are maxing out numerous credit cards at a time to try and win back money they have lost with the Debt Advisor group seeing some individual debts as high as £100,000. Casinos have a strong cash culture unlike internet gambling where it is your credit card that does the spending. Using cash instead of your credit card makes you more aware of the amount you are spending.

The growth of gambling online in the next five years is predicted to be around 22% a year while playing poker online is said to rise by 44% a year. Gambling through your mobile phone is now also being offered by companies which could see even higher debts being accumulated.

Gambling has always seen its fair share of creating debt problems but with easier accessibility it may cause more households to suffer from unmanageable debt. Other household members are usually unaware that there is a debt problem looming not realizing how much is actually being gambled, the more desperate people become to win back their money the higher the stakes become seeing people usually losing more and more.

If you are suffering form credit card debt problems through internet gambling there are many organizations that can help you. Seeking help sooner rather than later will prevent even more debt.

Going by the statistics, the online gambling industry is one of the most profitable industries in the internet world today. This is really essential as the compatibility of the players' computers will determine efficiency and speed of the software download.

Next is the rule of setting up an online account to enable the players to gamble. Often, these accounts are opened after the player makes an initial deposit. Nevertheless, it is important to go through the site and learn about the rules for deposition of money from there itself.

Different sites follow different rules with regard to the bonuses offered to players. Players who open a new account are often rewarded bonuses of varying percentages by the websites. Besides, there are a few sites that have banned American players from participating in the online games owing to the ambiguity of American gambling rules. On the other hand, there sites that do not object to those gambling sites which endorse charity.

With further growth of the online gambling industry, newer gambling online rules [http://www.bigjuicyodds.com] are surely going to come up. Cigar smoking gentlemen, glamorously dressed ladies, oodles of money, cards, roulette tables and slot machines. All these could be present in any casino in Las Vegas or in any casino in any part of the world. The smoke filled rooms are intrinsic to any casino the world over. Ask anyone who has visited a casino about what remains part of them, for days after visiting a casino. It is the smell of smoke which clings to their clothes despite visits to the cleaners.

Smoking is among the biggest reasons for causing lung cancer. In a casino you cannot get away from this smoke even if you are a non smoker. The smoke filled environs of a casino can cause harm to the non smokers as well. It is a well known fact that passive smoking is as injurious to health as smoking itself. There is no way you can avoid the smoke in an actual casino even though casino owners have been asked to provide for non smoking and smoking rooms. These have been provided to protect the health of the other patrons of the casino.

For all the avid gamblers and health conscious people, help is at hand. Gamble at online casinos and protect yourself from lung cancer. In online casino gambling the user is a part of the gambling experience without getting up from his or her home. The environment is controlled by the patron of the online gambling casino. The First Steps to Legal Online Gambling

Knowing what countries have legal online gambling is very beneficial information to individuals who choose to use gambling online as a means of earning cash. Seeing that the cost of living has increased and everyone is looking for a way to earn extra cash they may turn to online gambling as it can be done at anytime once you have access to a computer and the internet, it can be done confidentially and in the comfort of your home. Since we are in the age of technology, knowing what states have legal online gambling is simply a click away. So before actually logging on to the websites which provide online gambling you should conduct a search on your country or state to ensure that it is legal.

Information on what states have legal online gambling can be provided to you by the gambling association for your country or state. Now seeing that technology has improved over the years, this information is only a click away and if you are not able to access it via the internet, you can get their phone number at least online and shoot them an email or give them a call to access this information. This information is very vital to an individual, because it would allow them to know their rights, as well as the laws and legislation relating to online gambling in their country or state.

While conducting my search to find what states have legal online gambling I discovered that each state has their own specific laws and legislation. More than this however, each state is always changing and updating their legislature so a list of states where it is legal to gamble online may quickly become outdated. So therefore if an individual decides they'd like to try a hand at online gambling, then they need to be mindful that when sourcing information on whether it is legal to gamble online in their state or country they need to be aware of the most recent rulings on gambling.

An additional advantage for visiting or phoning your gaming association would be that it allows you to acquire a better understand of the laws and legislation as some of them may be a bit complicated and you might misinterpret what it actually says. In closing, keep in mind that you should find out if online gambling is legal in your country or state before you actually enter the gaming industry, so good luck.

Online Gambling Payouts - Worth the Fun, Thrill and Risks

Casinos and gambling have always been part of many cultures. People play these games primarily for money. People play in casinos for a number of reasons and some of the most obvious reasons can be the fun and entertainment, the thrill and excitement, the gamble, the uncertainty of being a winner or loser, and of course, getting to be on the side of luck. For all these reasons, people are attracted to online casinos and online games for their online gambling payouts. These payouts are great motivation as any person has the chance to win a considerable amount of money.

If you have never tried playing in a casino game before then you probably will not feel as thrilled and excited as those who have felt the gambling rush. Of course, if you have never tried it you always have the option to have your first experience and go further from there. If you are a newbie online casino player, then you have to know that many online casino sites give online gambling payouts that are hard to refuse. The possibility of getting this money, whether big or small in amount, is enough to get you hooked to play one game after another.

Since the online gambling payouts are the main motivation for many, and probably for a newbie player like you, then it matters much that you choose a casino site which allows a player to have great payouts. So choosing the site is essential. Before you start playing around, then it would be wise to search for various casino online sites which provide the online gambling payouts that you want. If you are new to gambling and to the online manner of playing, then you can always start small and go up as you get more used to the system. The payout percentage published by tells you that the sum of all bets placed the percentage published is a the amount paid back to players in winnings. For example, a payout percentage of 98% means that 98% of money placed as bets is paid back to player keeping 2% as profit.

Aside from the online gambling payouts offered by many online casino sites, there are other considerations to take. One such important consideration is to choose a site that either lets you play without downloading anything or one that requires you to do so. While the decision seems to be trivial, this is, as a matter of fact most important, as some players want to have the opportunity to play anytime, anywhere without the hassle of slow downloads or connection. Another thing to consider is whether the site uses a secure server or not for deposits and payouts. You have to consider that especially if you want your financial information safe and secure.

To be able to know if a certain site is fit to your requirements, it can help to browse around the web first. You have many choices and all you have to do is look for one casino site that fits your preferences. One symbol of quality to look out for is Ecogra, an independent body which verifies casino payouts. Online gambling payouts are considered by many to be the best motivation for playing and you can actually have those on your and as long as you play online casino games with your eyes open. These payouts are also the main reason why playing online casino games seem like the real thing (or even better for some).

Online Gambling Bans and the Ire of the European Commission

Now more than ever, protectionism in international trade of goods and services should be seen as a very bad thing. History has demonstrated on many occasions, no more clearly than during the Great Depression, that efforts by governments to protect local industry by placing embargoes on foreign competitors, serves only to stifle global economic growth and prolong recovery from recession.

This is a widely held view endorsed by almost all governments around the world, as well as international trade organizations like the WTO. But for some reason, many governments are reluctant to apply this principle to online gambling services.

Numerous countries have enacted legislation banning offshore operators from targeting their residents, while at the same time promoting a locally licensed online gambling industry. Australia's Interactive Gambling Bill (2001) is an example of a law that seeks to do just that. While its effectiveness in achieving its aim has been questioned, the fact remains the law's clear intent is protectionist in nature.

A number of European Union Member States ("EU members") have sought to pass similar legislation to Australia's. The political reasons given for passing the legislation are many and varied (usually the concern for local problem gamblers is near the top of the list). However a cynical observer would say that where that same government allows locally licensed operators to accept bets online from residents, the primary purpose of the legislation is to protect that local operator from competition and maximize gaming tax revenues.

But EU members trying to enact such laws are attracting the ire of the European Commission ("EC"). The EC is the executive arm of the European Union, charged with upholding EU law. One of the key principles of EU law, as set out in the European Communities Treaty ("the Treaty") is the 'four freedoms', and one of those for freedoms (Article 49 of the EC Treaty) is the freedom to provide services.

This provision makes it illegal for EU members to enact laws preventing their residents from accessing services provided by other EU members where that service is able to be provided by local operators. It is a provision designed to foster free trade between EU members and discourage laws protecting local monopolistic operators. EU members are free to ban any good or service they believe for ethical or moral reasons is inappropriate, so long as that ban applies to local operators also.

And EC and European Court of Justice have determined that the freedom to provide services applies to online gambling services just as it does to all others. The EC is currently involved in no less than 10 infringement proceedings against EU members trying to enforce laws in relation to online gambling bans that breach EU law. France and Germany are on this list.

France have relented to EC pressure and announced in March 2009 that their current laws will be replaced with a regulatory approach opening its market to foreign online gambling operators from early 2010.

The EC also has US laws in its cross hairs. A report released earlier this year formalized their view that US online gambling laws, and UIGEA in particular were in breach of international free trade obligations. The report opens the door for proceedings to be brought before the WTO, however most commentators believe a negotiated resolution to the issue is more likely.

Never a dull moment in the world of online gambling.

Where Can I Gamble Online - Safely?

There are very few people who do not like to gamble at least once in a while. It is not only fun, but can be a great way to make a few extra dollars on a small investment. Well, that is depending on the game you play and your level of skill. Although many casinos exist around the United States, the online world has made gambling convenient with the introduction of online casinos. In 1996 there were a mere 15 websites--this number has now grown to 1,400 and counting. Yet, the most important question on everyone's mind is "Where can I gamble online?" There are many factors you should--and must--take into consideration when choosing an online casino. Read on to discover what these all important factors are.

1. The Law

This is where gambling online becomes complicated. Since November 2002 there have been numerous court cases and rulings involving online gambling. Although the Federal Department of Justice has made rulings, what it comes down to at this point in time are the rules of the particular state you live in. If a bet or wager is made online in the state in which you reside and in that state it is illegal to make online bets or wagers, then the state can--and has been known to--seize the profits.

You may also be indicted for illegal gambling, even though it is online. So rule number one: before gambling online in your state, check with your local laws to ensure it is legal.

2. Read Reviews

You might have found an enticing online casino via a directory. However, you want to make sure it is a reputable casino. With most casinos you have to download the software for the casino before you can actually play the games they offer. This means using your credit or debit card multiple times. Although most online casinos are reputable, it is not always safe to give your credit card information repeatedly.

3. Security Measures

The most trustworthy online gambling casinos are those that belong to a large online gambling corporation. One of the best is Belle Rock Entertainment. Not only does this company have many years of happy customers, but a strong financial foundation. This means you are sure to receive your winnings. They also provide an extremely secure platform to make sure their players have no doubt when it comes to safety.

Some security measures include access to account records, asking for secret passwords only you would know and questions and answers to verify it is you who is playing. These are some of the things to look for when choosing an online gambling casino.

4. The Software

There are certain software companies who provide you with the best games and security. Knowing the names of these software companies is a great help when trying to locate the best online gambling casinos. MicroGaming is definitely one of the best, being the most popular. Not only do they offer multiple varieties of Blackjack, they also have numerous other games, including progressive slots.

Boss Media is another software leader, with their games being fast and easy to play. It offers one of the best Blackjack games around, and payout is fast and uncomplicated.

Playtech is another of the best around. This software offers multiple games to suit the needs of any online gambler, and a video poker game with a jackpot to make playing worth your while.

5. Top Recommendations

Now that we have covered some of the factors you should consider, here are some of the most reputable online gambling casinos for you to visit. Thus your answer to that all important question of "where can I gamble online"?:

Las Vegas USA Casino is fairly new, but caters mainly to players in the United States and has an excellent payout rate--97 percent.

The Gaming Club Casino is an oldie but a goodie, having been around since 1995. They pay in both US dollars and pounds, offer more than 100 games and have a payout rate of more than 96 percent.

Sun Palace Casino is perhaps one of the most impressive online casinos, offering a welcome bonus of up to $500 dollars in cash for opening an account to gamble with real money.

With a 97 percent payout rate, Captain Cooks Casino offers 83 different games, paying in US dollars.

Trying to find out where to gamble online is not as difficult as it may seem. The difficult part is finding a reputable online casino with decent games and an impressive payout rate. All you need to do is follow the tips we have given you here and you will be on your way to gaming fun in no time.

Your Online Gambling Environment

Ready to start gambling online? The difference between gambling online and gambling in a casino is like the difference between night and day. Casinos are designed to distract you from everything except gambling. Drinks are served regularly, people add to the crowd, and the smell and touch of money gets everyone excited. As casino owners know, that leads people to make foolish bets or play foolish hands, all designed to make sure you lose money.

However, if you gamble online at home, you have the luxury of being able to control your environment. So before you log on to that website, make sure you're comfortable and prepared.

Rid yourself of any distractions. Turn the TV off, turn down the ringer on the telephone and send the kids out to play. A distraction at a crucial betting moment can cause you to make a hasty decision.

Have plenty of soft drinks or non-alcoholic beverages on hand, but keep anything alcoholic like beer, wine or liquor, tucked away. Alcoholic beverages affect our judgment and cause us to make poor decisions. It causes us to have a harder time calculating odds, and we also have an inflated sense of confidence. When alcohol mixes with gambling, most folks walk away a loser.

Keep a clock nearby. You may even want to set a timer. Casinos never have clocks on the walls because they don't want players to know how long they've been gambling! But the longer you gamble the more you're at risk to lose, so set a time limit, or at least keep an eye on the clock.

Sit in a comfortable chair. Proper ergonomics is important for anyone who spends a lot of time at a computer and desk. If your gambling session will run for more than an hour or so, make sure you have a comfortable chair that's positioned correctly.

What Moral Hypocrisy! - Pornography is Ok, But Not Online Gambling

The porn industry all over the world has been growing at an alarmingly high rate. This is so because people who watch pornography once get hooked on it and then to break free is very difficult. Most people say that they watch porn to help improve their sex life. This is not true, pornography corrupts your mind. What sort of a man or woman can improve their sex life by watching adults molest and have sex with small kids and young girls?

In the same way a lot of people talk about online gambling as a big sin. The porn watched over the net by millions is accepted whereas online gambling is not. This is nothing but moral hypocrisy.

So what is it that people think is wrong with online gambling?

1. People gamble online for fun and for the money. People spend a whole lot of money watching porn and what do they get from it, some say fun. But what people get most of all from watching porn is only a perverted mind.

2. Gambling online gives you the chance to win a whole lot of money. If you are lucky and get the jackpot then you could be possible millions richer. Watching porn online brings in no cash whatsoever. It only pushes you and urges you to watch more and more porn. Watching porn is not free of a cost. You will have to either pay the site to view their videos or you will have to download the video which takes a whole lot of time and of course the expense of buying larger and larger hard drives to contain your downloads.

3. Online gambling is something that you can do from anywhere. You can sit with your laptop in a garden and play your favorite game of poker or slots. All you need is to focus your attention; you don't need any privacy for this. You can always walk into a cyber café and play your online gambling games. This is not so with pornography. Pornography cannot be viewed anywhere you want. You need to have a room or place where you are not disturbed and there should be no kids around you no matter what.

4. Friends and family can always sit with you and watch you gamble online. They can play games with you or compete with you. It is something which can be enjoyed by one and all. Pornography cannot be viewed in front of your family members. You can try watching it with your friends but that too depends on the kind of friends you have.

5. Online gambling games like Blackjack etc require you to concentrate, think, strategize and then play. In other words these games are good for your brain as it gives it a lot of work. Pornography when viewed in small doses can cause you to day dream and just keep thinking about it. It is a big addiction and you may be forced to think about sex all day long and that is not good for your brain or body. Constant thoughts of sex can even make you err or take you on the wrong path.

6. Of course gambling can be an addiction too and you can lose lots of hard earned money. But when you gamble online, the choice of you playing or quitting is entirely yours. There is nobody like your opponents or friends tempting you to play even if you are on a losing streak.

Just forget about watching porn and just start online gambling for real fun.

Positive Points of Online Gambling

In the UK, online gambling is progressively becoming one of the most preferred gaming options. The Importance Of Common Sense While Gambling Online

Online gaming has become one of the more popular things to do while spending time on the internet. Although it's a fun and entertaining past time, one must always remember to use sound judgment and common sense before even thinking about gambling over the internet. First of all, you must educate yourself and be sure that you can even participate in online gambling. It is illegal to gamble online in many countries, so you must be sure that if you are interested in playing games online for real money, make sure you can do so legally.

Online gaming is extremely popular in the UK, and everyday I see so many people dive head first into games they don't even know how to play. The scary part is that they begin to play these games without even knowing what to do. To make it even more worse, they end up putting their life savings on the line, just to win a few bucks. I'm warning you far in advance, don't even think of doing this. The people that DO make a lot of money through online gaming have experience, proven methods, and a ton of common sense to help them succeed.

There are a few extremely helpful and valuable tips to remember if you are interested in online gambling. First, make sure you begin with an amount of money you are willing and able to spend. Be extremely cautious, and go in with the mindset that you are going to lose this money. Let's face it, the possibility to lose this money is there. So, if you budget a specific amount ahead of time, you are prepared for any losses that may come your way. Be sure that you stick to your set amount, no exceptions whatsoever. If you start adding more and more to your budget while you are playing, you are basically playing with fire. And we all know that common saying, "If you play with fire, you're going to get burned!".

Second, always remain in control. I highly advise you not to put your guard down. So many gamblers let common sense simply fly out the window, which ultimately puts the gambler at an extreme amount of risk. If you aren't someone who can maintain some degree of common sense, don't gamble. It's as simple as that. You may not like hearing that you should gamble, but if you are unable to remain in control and understand that risks involved, don't play games where you can lose money.

Third, be sure that you have fun while gambling online. Yes, the possibility of winning some nice extra cash exists, but remember you can lose as well. Think with a clear head and understand that online gaming is entertainment, not income. Many are sadly mistaken when they seek out huge amounts of money so they can quit their job and live care free. I've seen sad cases like this first hand, and understand that this is not the way it works.

There are methods and techniques that some successful players use, but this does not mean that they are complete experts. These individuals are always fully aware of the risks involved, and always use common sense. If you are interested in having fun, with the possibility of winning some money, there is certainly no harm. Just remember, common sense is one of the most important things you must utilize while participating in any casino games, weather it's gambling online, or gambling in the casino.

Online Gambling - Is It Risky?

Online gambling is illegal in many jurisdictions and users should consult legal counseling regarding the legal status of online gambling and gaming in their jurisdictions. The information in this article is for news and entertainment purposes only. Online gambling is fast becoming a major threat to government revenue from gambling, and to its control over how and where gambling takes place.

Online gamblers are becoming more savvy and security conscious so when they begin looking for an Internet casino other factors come in to play, other than who is offering the biggest bonus. Players want to know that their security particulars are completely safe and that nobody will abuse their trust.

Online gamblers are quick to point out who the rip-offs are, but sometimes have a knee-jerk reaction to bad experiences. Sometimes a shill or two will appear. Online gamblers are not going to quit gambling because the U.S. government needs to recognize this need and instead of fighting it, they should accompany and limit it with economic methods such as a high tax.

Law enforcement agents have seized the media spotlight by telling scary stories and demanding new powers to crush Internet gambling. As the futility of prohibition becomes more and more evident, however, cooler heads in state revenue departments will begin to see Internet gambling as a huge new cash cow.

In conclusion, Internet gambling may be of interest to many people, because they can gamble from the comfort of their own home without all of the smoke filled rooms. However, if someone is not careful, they could lose a lot of money online, and turn into a compulsive gambler. I personally stay away from any form of online gambling, since there are plenty of other ways to make money online.

Could Society Benefit From Legalized, Online Gambling?

Let me ask a simple but very important question: What good would come from banning online gambling? Would we be better off? Next question: What happened when we (the US gov't) banned alcohol? It gave rise to the biggest growth spurt of organized crime in US history. It made for successful underground criminals and criminal activities. The outlaws that ran with the opportunities took the people's money, their free time, their entertainment, and only the criminals won. Illicit Drugs are banned, think about that! You don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

You don't ban R-rated movies, you simply regulate them. When one can get in only by showing proper ID, you've make it possible for those who want to see the film to get into the theatre. But, by banning the film, we would get illegal, high-priced, bootlegged copies that every kid in town could see. The same argument can be used for online gambling. Regulate it, monitor it, and make it available to those who want to do it. But at the same time, it make it very difficult for children to gamble. By regulating it, monitoring it, and yes, even taxing it, we would be able to follow the money and learn who is really behind the online gambling sites. If they were a terrorist group for example, we'd revoke the license and put them out of business. Banning online gambling only makes it possible, and yes, even easy for criminals or terrorists to benefit from it, and even control it. There is a war against drugs.

Where has the war against drugs gotten us? If drugs like Marijuana were legalized in the US, related criminals and their crimes would disappear. If it were sold in legal stores, the underground, criminal activity would have no reason to exist. Further, think of the tax money we'd gain through the sales, and the tax money we'd save because we'd not be taking care of thousands of people in jails for illegal use. What would we do with all that tax money? It's estimated that tax money gained from the sale of marijuana would be $1.8 Billion per year. That would fund universal health care for all Americans, benefit the schools, and the police would get a big shot in the arm (pun intended). One more question: Aren't you tired of Big Gov't telling you what you can do and what you cannot do? What kind of society is that? We're still like the child who wants everything he can't have. Take something away, and he wants it even more. Conversely, you can diminish the allure by making it legal, available and taxed. If addiction is your concern, can you say that online gambling is more likely to control someone than a land-based casino?

I think not, but I do believe that regulated casinos care more about credit limitations than do the unregulated ones that would drain a person dry. Remember, the license of a regulated casino is in jeopardy should they operate like that. An unregulated casino would never give you information nor help you in the case of addiction, whereas a regulated one would have to. So, as is true about many activities, education is the best answer, antidote, weapon and controller of an individual's behavior in a casino, not banning them. There are thousands of good-paying jobs in casinos around the World. There are Millions of happy, non-addicted gamblers as well. No one would gain anything by telling all those people they can no longer engage in gambling activities. That would mean a ban of "investing" by other means as well. No one could buy and sell in the stock market. No more Insurance companies could operate. Maybe you couldn't pick your future wife or husband... talk about a gamble! So, it's time the gov't stopped making these mistakes. It's the same thing year after year; some do-gooder thinks he/she can make a name by pushing this stupid and dangerous idea on the public. Banning online gambling is the Wrong Answer!

Online Gambling Tips

With its huge gains in popularity, online gambling has also opened up the chances for confusion. What to pay, where, how? How much do you bet? What are the best gambling sites? Before you start your venture into the world of online gambling, here are a few tips to keep in mind. After all it would not be smart to risk your money without some guidelines and secret strategies.... Right?

Know about your local law regarding online gambling. Sad as it may be for enthusiasts, online gambling is illegal in some places. Make sure you have checked out the laws of your country, state, or province etc, before you risk legal action by playing at the best gambling sites online.

Expect to lose. It is going to happen. No matter how smart you are or how much experience you have. No matter what strategies you have learnt from what book. This is an experience with games of chance, and the house does always have the advantage. You must remember to remind yourself that losses are inevitable, at least once in a while.

Don't hang on to the game until you run out of all your money. This is what usually happens at brick and mortar casinos; don't repeat it at your online one. Remember that the best gambling sites do not want you to go broke any more than you do. Play until the game remains fun and enjoyable, and quit before you lose it all.

Have a realistic goal for your winnings. If you have a couple of good games, take a break...don't stay in there until the luck turns and you lose big. Also, keep your bets small even if you seem to be on a winning streak. Larger bets mean huge losses if your luck turns suddenly.

If you start to lose, advise the best gambling sites in their advisories, don't stay in the game just to get back what you started with. This will only keep you there until all your money is gone. Leave the game when the luck turns, and come back later, or on another day, to recoup losses.

Set your goals and keep them. Decide on an amount that you can afford to lose, as the bankroll for that day. Don't hold out hope of increasing that 100 fold or more...that's unrealistic. Set a more realistic goal like...doubling the money say. And make sure that you stop playing as soon as you have achieved it.

Always play the odds. Even when you sign into the best gambling sites, remember to consider the odds. Use math if you can. After all numbers don't usually lie and mathematical strategies are generally successful. This is more true of casino and online games of chance which are designed on the basis of probabilities and percentages.

And most of all.... ENJOY it! Online gambling is supposed to be fun. Play as long as you enjoy, and prevent it from turning it into and obsession. If you end up frustrated and angry and broke, the whole point of the exercise is defeated. Remember even the best gambling sites want you to enjoy your playing so that you come back again and again. HAVE FUN!

Online Gambling Software

Online gambling software is required for gambling on the Internet and usually is either Java or Flash based. Players are required to download this software from the Internet or play via the server provided by the site. This means that the software can be broadly divided into two categories, downloadable and non- downloadable.

Downloadable software is that which is downloaded on the players' computer, thus resulting in faster gambling. Downloading such type of software can take time. Sometimes the software is so large that it cannot be stored on an old computer. This type of software can also be purchased as a CD-Rom and can be delivered to the doorstep of the concerned party.

Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems, which allows the software to inhabit the server. A browser must be a Java enabled browser such as Netscape 3.0+, Internet Explorer 4.0+ or AOL 4.0+ or higher. There are certain system necessities, but if the player's computer is three years old or younger, then the player should not have any problems. The only downfall of this software is that it is slower compared to downloadable software and the computer memory needs to be cleared regularly lest the system should crash.

Flash is a programming language made by Macromedia and permits the game software to stay on the server. Flash is not as space consuming as Java and is less likely to cause the computer to crash. However, this software uses a new computer language and its availability is questionable. This software does not work with Apple computers and thus can be awkward for some players.

This software can be downloaded and used even if the player does not bet any money. Therefore, the gambler has an opportunity to gauge the usefulness of software by using it without betting anything. Usually, the software requirements for different games are the same and very few software are used for varied types of games.
